Miss Riyo Miro, a 20-year-old dancer from Japan, was crowned Miss Universe 2007 Monday night! Riyo seemed very nervous, and held hands with Miss Brazil. Then when Miss Brazil was announced first runner up, she visibly took a HUGE step back, and her hands flew involuntarily to her pretty little mouth.
Of course nobody paid any attention to Miss Brazil. Okay, she teared almost immediately as she received her crown and her bouquet of flowers, and then she had to compose herself NOT to ruin her mascara and actually smile as she walked down the runway smile and wave.
Miss USA, Rachel Smith, this really sweet and beautiful girl, slipped on the platform, actually, on her butt, but she stood right up and smiled and primped like nothing had happened. Good girl! If I was the judge, I'd have given her first runner up. Her face was tiny and she was really young and pretty. Not to mention tanned and bronze! (: Miss China won the Miss Congeniality trophy. No offence-but I hate her. She is just so-white and... yuck. Gross. Ew. I hate her.
Miss Korea and the rest (besides Miss Japan and Miss USA) seemed very normal, actually, not to mention big-chested. Miss Japan seemed to be the only one who didn't have chest implants (I can't remember for Miss USA). That's good.
And Miss Japan had to keep holding on to the humungous crown wobbling on her black little head, and backstage people were crowding around her and kissing her and she just was really shocked, I think, and dazed or something. (: But, okay, fine. She is GORGEOUS.
Riyo Mori was born December 12, 1986 in Shizuoka, Japan. She is 5 ft'8 (1.73 m), has black hair and brown eyes. She is a lifelong ballet dancer, and she says 'My mind went blank' of the winning moment. Yes, I think that was very obvious. (:
