So, today was oral examinations - in Mandarin and English. I didn't really prepare for English oral, and look what it got me. Okay, first and last of all, I screwed up. The teacher asked me of an incident where I helped someone and I totally couldn't remember any incidents where I helped someone, so I lied.
I said that it was 7 a.m. in the morning and I was on this public bus and then this old lady came on and then she lost her footing and all her groceries fell to the floor. Then I left my seat to help her. Then the teacher asked if anyone else helped. And I was like, "Oh, yeah, a few people helped too but most of them just stared at us,"... And then she was like, "In the morning, there should be alot of school children on the bus, right? How come nobody helped?" Or something. And I was like, "But most of them take the school bus." And she was like, "Not neccessarily.." Then she asked me how come nobody else helped since there were so many people on the bus.. So anyway, I really screwed it up.
Moving on - Mandarin oral! Okay, so the teacher directed me to this GEP teacher from China.. Anyway, she was like, "Okay, don't be nervous.." Then she told me all the stuff we were going to do.. So I said one word wrongly during the reading, and the picture was quite cool. Although I forgot to describe one lady the way I'd thought it out. And the conversation was awesome! I talked alot. I said alot of my own stuff - and some from my friends, and halfway I forgot the words I wanted to say and stared at the picture for awhile before deciding to move on. Then I added stuff my teacher had told me to say. And, Eureka!
I think I did quite well in Chinese oral, but English was a flunk. Nevermind, it motivates me to study even harder so I can cry when I get 272 for PSLE. That's my dream, anyway. Wish me luck!
